One of my all-time favorite places in Indianapolis is Newfields (formerly the IMA). Between the beautiful grounds, seasonal florals, and iconic Lilly House, it’s one of those quintessential Indianapolis locations that feels both quiet and completely unforgettable.
Donica and Zackary chose Newfields for their Indianapolis engagement session, and their story makes the location even more special. The two met in high school while working at Kroger—she was the checkout girl, he was the grocery bagger. Years later, their first date was June 25, and they’ll be getting married exactly 10 years after that first date.
These two were absolutely effortless to photograph. We played with intentional blur, Dutch angles, movement, and plenty of those in-between candid moments I’m known for, all while keeping the images true to life and timeless.
I’m so excited to photograph their wedding at The Bluffs at Conner Prairie and continue telling their story.
