Spring Canal 337 Indianapolis Black and White Wedding

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Abby over the past year as I have been working with her on her style blog sevenandstitch.com. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her, JR, and her pup Ruby. Abby is so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and sweet. Even on her wedding day, she was putting others first.

I loved everything about Abby and JR’s Spring Canal 227 Indianapolis wedding. Their black and white color scheme kept things elegant. Abby was absolutely stunning in her Hayley Paige dress from Marie Gabriel Couture Bridal . The florals by Bella Sorella were a lush mix of soft white stems with abundant greenery. Their wedding took place at Canal 337 which is a cool new venue in Indianapolis. The views of the city from the venue are incredible.  On top of all of that, it was a 80 degree day in April! Although it was a touch windy, some of those wind in veil shots are my favorite as those real unscripted moments make for the best photo journalistic style imagery.

Thank you Abby and JR in trusting me with your wedding photos. It was an absolute pleasure!

Bride and Groom Q+A:

Both of our favorite moments were the ceremony. Abby loved when JR read his vows, and JR loved seeing Abby walk down the aisle. They both cite the moment they were announced as husband and wife, when their friends stood up and erupted in applause and cheers, as the best moment of the day.

JR’s friends are a hilarious group of guys — one of the funniest moments was when JR’s friend took off his red/white/blue striped headband (with a fake mullet attached) and put it on JR’s dad’s head. That headband traveled around the dance floor all night.
