When you have a perfect fall Indiana day, a gorgeous couple, and dream team of Indianapolis wedding vendors; wedding photography magic happens. This is exactly what occured at Miranda and Chris’s Morgan Acres Fall Indianapolis Wedding. The bride, Miranda, could not have been more stunning in her Pronovias gown from Marie Gabriel. Andi with Something Blue Stylists created a natural, romantic look that made Miranda glow. Groom, Chris, was equally as dapper in his gray suit. The only thing this couple was missing was a cameo from their golden retriever Cubbie who attended their engagement portraits last fall. Morgan Banks with Ashley Weddings and events kept everything running on time and can we talk about the epic florals by Amanda with Grounded Plant Floral Co?! Thank you so so much Miranda and Chris in trusting us with capturing your day. It was truly an honor and absolute joy to photograph!

Bride and Groom Q+A:

Wedding day overview? We chose Morgan Acres because of our love for all things rustic and original. As soon as we took a tour, we immediately knew it was the place we were going to get married. And you can’t go wrong with a fall wedding in a barn! Overall, the day was PERFECT! We got super lucky with the weather. All we were hoping for was no rain or snow, and we were lucky enough to have 80 degree weather and sunshine! Our decorations (lanterns, greenery, wood stumps, etc.) were inspired by Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. We absolutely adore the rustic, classic look with TONS of greenery and flowers, and Amanda from Grounded Weddings did not let us down! We’d call our wedding style “classic” with a rustic twist.

How did you pick your gown? My gown was the Plisa style by Pronovias from Marie Gabriel Couture and it took a lot of looking to find this gem! This style was NOT what I had in mind on the day long search for the perfect gown, but as soon as I tried it on and took a step out, all my bridesmaids and mom immediately had the biggest smiles on their faces like it was “the one”. It hit me as soon as they put up my hair and had me walk towards the mirror with a bouquet of flowers. Needless to say, there were definitely waterworks from everyone, and that’s how I knew it was “the one”.

Favorite moment? Picking just a couple favorites from the day is so so hard, because it was the best day ever! We wish we could relive it over again. If we had to choose, it would be when we were saying our vows to each other. It felt like nobody else was even watching. It was a very intimate moment and it was like we fell in love with each other all over again in that moment. Another came during dinner – we took a few minutes sitting at the head table to just look at the view from there, listen to everyone talking and laughing, and look at ALL the people that came to our wedding just to see us. It was a very special moment to feel so much love from our friends and family. And of course our first dance is something neither of us will ever forget.

Funniest moment? Aside from some really bad dance moves that night… One moment came towards the end of the night when there was a group of us that ended up playing the drinking game, “Thunderstuck”, which is a game that goes along to the famous AC/DC song. For those who don’t know it, just Google it 🙂 It was a fun and carefree way to end the night

First Dance Song? Babylon by David Gray has always been “our” song. We listen to David Gray a lot and this particular song is always a tear-jerker for Miranda. It reminds both of us about our first few months together every time we hear it.
