Laurel Hall Indianapolis Wedding: Erin and Brett by Stacy Able Photography

Laurel Hall Indianapolis Wedding: Erin and Brett by Stacy Able Photography

Erin and Brett are one of the few couples that braved through a snowy, winter engagement session which you can see here. You can see in their engagement photos their love almost melted the snow. Like their engagement session, Erin and Brett’s wedding was as delightful to document . Spending the entire day documenting their every moment was a treat as the love radiated throughout their friends and family. From the beautiful tears Erin’s mom shed as they shared a moment before Erin got dressed to the last sparkler kiss there there was so much raw emotion to photograph. Every wedding has its own story and uniqueness and Erin and Brett’s wedding will remain in my memory as a day full of love, beauty, and wonderful moments.

Erin and Brett it was a pleasure for Audra and I to be your photographer and we hope to see you at future sessions and weddings. I love photographing you two!

Bride and Groom Q&A:

The ladies started getting ready at around 9:30. All of my bridesmaids stayed at my parents house the night before the wedding so we could all wake up and have breakfast and get ready together. It was so much fun! I wanted to spend my last night as a non-married woman with my favorite ladies! We finished getting ready at my parents house and arrived at Laurel Hall around 2:30pm. The boys were set to arrive around 3:30. Thankfully everyone was on time! Phew! All of the vendors arrived and everything started to happen! I kept peaking out of the bridal suite to catch glimpses of everyone coming in and out. It was so fun to see! Once I got into my dress everything started happening so fast! Oddly enough I was not emotional. I had expected to be a mess the whole day but it was all so peaceful. Finally the moment arrived when I got to see my groom for the first time. I remember walking down the stairs and seeing my dad with tears in my eyes I gave him a big hug, then Audra cued me outside and I saw Brett standing with his back to me. I went up and tapped him on the shoulder. I was so giddy and we hugged and kissed. It was an amazing feeling! The whole rest of the day seemed to pass by so quickly. The ceremony started at 5:30 and ended around 6pm. We wanted to dismiss each row and connect with everyone at our wedding. After that we were swept off to take family photos. Dinner then started around 7pm and our first dance started around 8:30. It as such an amazing day, probably the most exhausting, wonderful, and exciting day of my life! I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

How you chose the venue, decor, date:

A friend of my mom’s told her about Laurel Hall. I knew that I wanted to get married in a place that felt old and romantic, Laurel Hall was that place! It was the only venue we visited and we booked it the following day. We decided on August because we wanted dinner to be outside in the summer. July was too hot for us and we wanted something later in the summer so August 24th was a perfect fit! As for color and decor, I knew I wanted something soft and romantic. I am not a big pink person, but there was something about blush that spoke to me. I didn’t intend on making gold an accent color but as I looked at photos on pinterest and the colors of Laurel Hall it all just began to come together.

Favorite moment(s)? My favorite moment was standing up at the alter with Brett. I felt amazing! There was something so wonderful and peaceful about standing there with all of the people that love and support us right behind us! I have never felt such peace in my life.

Funniest moment(s)? When my new husband almost ran into a chain fence when we were pulling out after the send off. I had no idea but everyone started yelling stop as we were backing up! Thankfully the rental was fine!
