Joshua Tree Styled Wedding Photography Shoot

Joshua tree holds a very special place in my heart. In the summers I would visit my dad in Palm Springs. One of the best memories I have of he and I were these trips to the Joshua Tree area. After a long winding drive up the canyons, these scraggly trees would appear out of nowhere. They looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. We would stop at the Donut shop for a pink sprinkled confection and I’d play pac-man. For a 8 year old sassy ginger it was the best of times. He passed away two years ago on that very same road down.

Since I was in Palm springs for my friend Tiffany’s wedding, I set up a styled shoot in Joshua Tree National Park. Fortunately, my fellow photographer friend Rebecca was with me to drive part way there as it was pretty overwhelming to be on that same winding road.

Going back was hard but I had been wanting to see those odd trees again. It was an added bonus to have a real couple come out and model for Rebecca and I. Ravayna and her husband David graciously traveled all the way from LA (no small feat with the crazy traffic) and were amazing. The lovely ladies at MH Pomanders lent us an incredible Carol Hannah Bridal top and skirt .I could easily photograph this couple in Joshua Tree for a week. A big thanks to involved for making this gorgeous shoot happen.
