Fall Midwest Indianapolis engagement photography: Brenny + Tony

When Brenny sent me a photo of her plum gown she was planning on wearing for her Indianapolis Museum of Art fall engagement portraits, I knew their photos were going to be gorgeous. While Indiana fall has been somewhat non existent, we did manage to find a few trees with fall foliage around the IMA grounds. Brenny and Tony could not be cuter together and were so easy in front of the lens. I can not wait until their summer 2017 wedding at Irwin Gardens and the Columbus Commons!

Q+A with Brenny and Tony:

We first met in high school in 2008 (I was a freshman, he was a sophomore) at Columbus North HS in study hall. We reconnected in 2016 when Tony went into the Motorola shop where my dad works to pick up his new police radio, talked to my dad about their police experience (my dad was a police officer in Columbus for over 20 years), and we got back in touch from there!
Our first date was lunch in downtown Columbus at a sushi place called Taku. We talked for 2 and a half hours…and the conversation only ended because the restaurant was closing and we got kicked out!
He proposed at the school where I work (Central Middle School) in front of all of my students and some of my coworkers. He planned the whole thing in conjunction with my school principal- my principal gave me the impression that it was going to be a standardized testing pump up meeting for the kids in lieu of upcoming state tests, and I was surprised when I was pulled onto the stage in front of the kids by the “pump up guest speaker” (a fellow police officer friend of Tony and my family) for a demonstration, and then Tony proposed!
Our wedding will be at Irwin Gardens in July 2018, and the reception will be at the Commons Mall. Columbus is special to us because it is where we met, reconnected, and have lived most of our lives, so it was important that we get married here. The vision for our wedding is a romantic feel with lots of greenery, blush, and deep red hues. We can’t wait for the special day to celebrate with all of those we love most!
