Lauren & Michael’s Room 1520 Chicago Brunch Wedding

Lauren and Mike’s fall brunch wedding wedding at Room 1520, a white urban loft space in Chicago, was a modern and elegant affair. The white washed brick walls paired with heaps of natural light made their ceremony and reception a giant soft box of crisp light. The decor was a mix of white linen farm tables topped by natural vines and greenery. Each place setting had a soft green place card by Minted atop a black velvet ribbon tied napkin.

The bride wore a Priscilla of Boston belted gown (with pockets!) and the groom rocked a sharp suit with a fantastic bow tie and pocket square combination. Kelly, the maid of honor, who is the owner/blogger of Studio DIY, wore a black and white stripe cocktail dress which paired well with the striped ribbon on the bouquets. The bride’s Salvatore Ferragamo polka dot heels were the wedding shoe icing on the proverbial cake.

Since these two fancy themselves foodies, they had a spectacular brunch by Cocina Fusion added brought in the Beavers Coffee and Donut food truck for a “donut hour”, along with cocktails.

When the festivities concluded mid-afternoon, we headed downtown to leverage the skylines, urban textures and amazing backdrops that only Chicago can offer. The images speak for themselves

Lauren and Mike’s families could not have been more friendly and welcoming, which made my job all the more enjoyable. A huge thank you to Lauren and Mike for allowing Molly and I document your special day. It was truly a heartfelt honor and pleasure. I’m so thankful to have such awesome clients like you two!
